Driving Publicity Through Award Wins

You hear all your life that humility is a virtue.  But in business, if you don’t toot your own horn, no one else will do it for you.

I’ve learned that one of the best ways to promote yourself or your company is through submitting award nominations.  By gaining that third-party validation from an award win, you’re effectively letting others sing your praises about star employees/leaders, excellence in how you run your business, or outstanding projects and programs.

To really make it a winning PR strategy, though, you have to leverage your award wins into further publicity opportunities by sharing with key stakeholders, through newsletters and … posting to blogs.
